Ben Fox is a Primetime Emmy® Award-winning Showrunner and BAFTA®, Daytime Emmy®, and RTS®-nominated writer, producer, and director. He began his career on the BBC's prestigious 2-year TAP Production Trainee Scheme for producer directors, moving into scripted as writer director of the RTS-nominated BBC show If...the Lights Go Out, hailed as "the future for British Drama" by the Evening Standard newspaper. He later was a Showrunner on the groundbreaking America the Story of Us for the History Channel. Ben then served as Showrunner on Gettysburg for Scott Free (Ridley Scott & Tony Scott), which earned 4 Primetime Emmy® Awards, including one for Ben as Showrunner in the category 'Outstanding Non-Fiction Special'. He has also executive-produced numerous series for National Geographic and other major broadcasters.
In recent years, Ben has balanced roles as a writer, director, and showrunner. His credits include The New Air Force One: Flying Fortress for Disney+ and Netflix's globally acclaimed 4 part scripted series African Queens: Njinga, which premiered in 2023 in over 190 countries and won 3 Daytime Emmy® Awards. Ben also executive-produced Mysteries of the Pyramids for Channel 5/Paramount+ and continues to develop new scripted and non scripted series as a writer and producer. He is currently working for Hollywood's Fifth Season studio, one of the biggest independent movie studios in the world.
